Florida Sales Tax Holiday

The 2025 Florida Second Amendment Sales Tax Holiday runs from September 8 through December 31, 2025. This extended holiday offers tax-free savings on a wide range of eligible hunting, fishing, and camping gear, as well as firearms and ammunition. Take advantage of this opportunity to shop tax-free and prepare for the season ahead.

Scopelist is participating in this statewide event, which exempts the following categories from state sales tax:

• Firearms, including pistols, rifles, and shotguns that use an explosive charge as a propellant
• Ammunition and firearms accessories
• Bows, crossbows, and qualifying archery accessories
• Hunting supplies
• Tents priced $200 or less
• Camping stoves, collapsible camping chairs, portable hammocks, and sleeping bags priced $50 or less
• Camping lanterns and flashlights priced $30 or less
• Fishing rods and reels priced:
  • $150 or less (if sold as a set)
  • $75 or less (if sold individually)
• Tackle boxes or bags priced $30 or less
• Bait or fishing tackle priced:
  • $10 or less (if multiple items are sold together)
  • $5 or less (if sold individually)
